The dictionary at Seek the Narrow Gate defines terms as they are used by the author. Most definitions will be in line with or taken directly from orthodox Christian doctrine and / or The Holy Bible. There are however, some terms which are commonly used in religious theologies or institutions with varying meanings. This dictionary will include basic terminology definitions and will also identify certain people, places, events and other things used on STNG pages or posts, in order to provide background or clarity.
Christendom – as used in the pages of Seek the Narrow Gate, this is the body of people who profess to be Christians, to believe and trust in Christ. This includes both true believers who possess faith and those who are not true believers but merely profess faith. STNG may refer to this as man’s church as opposed to GOD’s Church. Further detail on this subject can be found in Matthew 13:36-43 and Matthew 7:22-23.
